This is my favourite page out of the whole book. I modeled the moves after something I would do all the time at karate in randori and I think that I conveyed the action really well.

Professional Art For Sale
So I want to get to Fan Expo again this year with a few bucks in my pocket to be able to buy more art and toys. To that end I am selling a couple of the commissioned pieces that I had done over my last two visits to Comic-Con and Fan Expo in order to hopefully make that happen. I’m a bit sad to be trying to Sell art I asked to be made for me, but if I want more I have to get the money from somewhere.
So, here is what is up for sale.
The Flash 11x14 (I think) drawn and inked by actual Flash comic book artist Marcus To at Fan Expo last year. I had it appraised at a comic shop in Toronto that said they would put it up for sale in their shop for $500
My price to you : $350 comes with the frame even!
Batgirl 8.5x 10 inked and colored by Rob Dumo. I had this appraised by a comic book shop in Toronto that said they'd put it up for sale in their shop for $200.
My price to you: $150 includes glass frame.
They are both great pieces and have been up on my smoke free home walls since I got them.
Send an email to:
If you are interested in these works of comic book art!

I really like this and the next few pages, they were fun to draw and I think they turned out pretty good!

Trying another establishing shot for the docks here in the third act. I think I need to use a little more reference when I do things like this. Because again I’ve never been to an area like that in real life.

The obligatory, I need a new suit bit. I’m really proud of the Alfred I drew here and the Batcave is not too shabby I think.
Also, I’m totally serious about wanting to collaborate with a writer! Seriously email me!

Trying out some different camera angles and such here. not bad, but still not much detail in the background.

half a page where I initially thought I over worked the drawing, and then a half a page that looks very flat to me now by comparison. One day I’ll get decent at drawing the scenery I am sure.

The ‘get a glimpse into what the villains are up to’ bit of the book. Again you can see that dialogue is not my strength.

This page I had a lot of fun drawing, and I like the ridiculously easy fire joke. I feel like there is some pretty decent drawing for this page too.

Not a bad perspective shot, now that I am seeing it again, not a great two page spread, not a whole lot going on, not a lot of details. But still not too bad I think.
The deadline program has worked! I scanned and lettered all of issue 2 yesterday, which bought me a lot of time to actually write and draw issue 3!

I missed a couple of the fills on the word bubbles. Doing word bubbles in Photoshop was a huge pain, but I have no other way to do it.
Considering how lame my backgrounds were a few pages ago, I’m pretty proud of the background in the last panel, could use some shading though for sure. I get a little nervous about overworking things though.

Here we learn that I hate backgrounds, and that my dialogue skills need work! Seriously I need a writer to fill in my story for me! The position is unpaid, but would be really fun. email me!
No wait, you know what you get? A physical copy of this book and the second and the one you co-script! I’ll print them and mail them to you for free!
Also I have to scan in book two today or this whole deadline plan is going to fall apart.

Here we learn that I need to work on my action to action skills. It’s my first comic and yes I have drawn it completely sequentially. Hopefully by the end we see progress.

Doing the lettering in Photoshop turned out to be a real pain in the butt, but I didn’t have any other tool. Also, so far my plan has not worked at all as I have not scanned in my second book yet. I have a few days to go though.

My first double page spread, the real opening of the book, and title page. What I learned here is that I really need to learn how to draw interiors of buildings. Figuring out the lettering and speech balloons was fun though and finding cool fonts for the titles.

What we learn here is that I have no idea how to draw a city. Partly due to the fact I have never lived in one.

22 Pages In Like 18 Days Or Something
I’m about to flood the internet with content! Mostly because I want to set myself a ‘deadline’ to have my second issue of the comic I started scanned and lettered (I already have it all inked).
To that end over the next 18 days or so, there are a couple double page spreads, I’m going to release my first comic digitally here. It’s not a daily humour comic, it’s a comic book, I’ll just be putting it out on here a page at a time.
If by the end of it you’d like to have a printed copy, we can work something out. If you are reading and you think to yourself “Hey, I can totally write a better script than that, and would be willing to do so for free!” let me know and we can work on that too! I freely admit I am not a great writer, especially when it comes to dialogue.
And So, Let’s begin.
